Ayahuasca, its scientific name is banisteriopsis caapi, and is commonly called Ayahuasca Vine, iowaska, Spirit Vine, Yage, shimbaya huasca,Vine of the Soul.

Ayahuasca is a plant native to the Amazon rainforest that is used to prepare a powerful tea that, in combination with some other plants, such as chacruna (Psychotria viridis), enhances its medicinal, healing and spiritual effects. This tea, better known as “Ayahuasca” after the name of this liana, is used in traditional ceremonies to heal the participants.
